It's a long way home,
but we don't walk it alone.
About us
This program brings together the experience, love and care from two organisations:
larger.world, a leading unlearning platform addressing complex and polarizing topics around belonging and regeneration &
Re-Routed, a collective recognized for its innovative and grassroots approach to migration and inclusion.
Long Way Home will be facilitated by Tumi Sineke and Bistra Kumbaroska. They have both lived across continents, carrying the wisdom of many homes within them. With rich experience in intercultural communication and social innovation, they understand firsthand the challenges and beauty of belonging in new places. They have worked extensively with clients across companies and international organizations, bringing proven expertise in facilitating change and building inclusive communities.
Hear from Tumi
As we find our way in the new places we call home, we are called to care for each other. Providing this care doesn’t only help the people we care for - it also grounds us and gives a sense of place.
I’m excited about this program as an opportunity to give the tools and resources that help us care for each other in our interpersonal relationships.
Mostly, I hope this program reminds us that our voices are crucial to the places we live in.
Hear from Bistra
As an international, it took me a long time to find my role and meaning in new countries. Long Way Home grows out of those journeys: out of the courage, the silences, and the slow discoveries of what belonging can mean.
For me, this work is about transforming those personal experiences into collective spaces, where stories of migration and resilience are not hidden but held, honored, and reimagined.
Home is not simply given, it is something we build together, across differences, in dignity and justice.
